The Questions & Answers from the January 18th, 2022 Virtual Public Engagement Session are now ready. During the engagement session, we noted all of your questions and concerns. There were a few common themes, so for clarity we consolidated them and have provided answers to each question so that everyone interested in the project has access to them.
The Q & A list has been uploaded to the project Documents at the right side of the project page (or at the bottom of the page if you are on a mobile device), or a direct link is available here.
If you have more thoughts to share, please take advantage of the Public Engagement Survey that is open until Monday, February 7th at 5:00 pm, or use our Comment Tool on this page.

An online survey will be available on January 19, 2022, through the Town’s Community Engagement Platform Open Mic.
“This study is a very important component to the overall project. We have heard a strong desire for an indoor aquatics centre, we’ve heard about pickleball courts, we’ve heard it all! Now we want to make sure we really get our finger on the pulse of the community wants”, says Mayor Jackson.
The outcome of the study is to use evidence-based data to analyze in detail, the recreational and cultural needs of the community. This information will then be used to determine what facilities and phasing are appropriate in the future Community Hub. It also allows the Town to develop a business case for these facilities. The Town wants to ensure that the facilities are financially sustainable in both the short and long term.
If you are unable to attend the Community Engagement Session, McQueen Galloway Associates will be receiving written comments. Comments can be submitted prior to January 25, 2022, by emailing tracey@fjgalloway.ca or by calling 905-749-2152.
Council will receive the final study report in March 2022.
