Update: Designated Detours

With the next section of construction underway between Frank Street and George Street, designated detour routes have been updated.

🚗 Updated Detour Routes

Northbound
D1 - Trucks/RVs via Boat Lake Road
D2 - Cars/Downtown via Elm Street

Southbound
D3 - Trucks/RVs via Bruce Road 13/Jenny Street
D4 - Cars to Highway 6 south via Gould Street
D5 - Cars through Downtown via Claude Street to Highway 6 South

🅿️ Access & Parking

• Foodland and Tim Hortons remain accessible from both Frank Street and Berford Street.
• There is no through traffic eastbound or southbound from Frank Street at the Berford Street intersection.
• Frank Street is closed (east of Berford Street) at Claude Street; however, businesses remain accessible from this location.
• Access is currently being maintained for mid-block properties via the east Frank Street intersection. This access is for local traffic only. All other traffic should use the designated detour routes.
• Additional public parking is available on the south side of St. John's United Church (accessed via a driveway at the rear of Town Hall) for:
  • JVB Services
  • Sutton-Sound Realty Inc., Brokerage
  • The Painted Turtle & Balloon Headquarters
  • Frosty Freeze
• The Town Hall parking lot remains accessible via George Street and provides public parking and access to:
  • Josefina Nails
  • Henhouse Hair Studio
  • 527 Berford Street
