Construction Update: August 2026

🚧 Berford Street Reconstruction is moving along well! There has been lots of progress on the section from Elm Street to Frank Street, including the installation of new water, sewer, and storm infrastructure. Crews are now working on curbs and preparing the road for the initial asphalt base.

Looking ahead, we anticipate that work on the next section, Frank Street to George Street, will begin after Labour Day. During this phase, the Frank Street intersection will be closed. Detour routes will be clearly signed, and updates and information will continue to be provided to the public.

We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as we work through this important project. Your patience is helping keep the work moving safely and efficiently!

⚠️ Safety reminder: During the road closure, the area is closed to both vehicles and pedestrians unless otherwise signed. For your own safety and the safety of our construction crews, please obey all posted signage and do not enter the work zone.
