Community Hub Recreation Feasibility Public Input Survey

In 2019, the Town of South Bruce Peninsula completed a Parks and Recreation Master Plan; one of the recommendations was to confirm the viability and community demand, priorities and phasing of recreational and cultural facilities at the future municipal Community Hub campus in Wiarton. The outcome of this Study is to use evidence-based data to analyze the recreational and cultural needs of the community, determine what facilities and phasing are appropriate to be implemented in the future Community Hub to serve those needs, and develop a business case for these facilities, while ensuring that the facilities are financially sustainable in both the short and long term.

McQueen Galloway Associates, Aquatics Associates, and Fryett-Turner Architects have completed the background analysis, financial analysis, and staff, Council, Recreation Committee, and stakeholders’ engagement, and have the following conceptual design to share with the community.

The following questions are being asked to test the proposed concepts and provide the Town with further insight into the amenities, size, programming, and phasing of the project desired by the Public.  Your opinions will help shape the concepts as they are developed in more detail.
