The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is commencing a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA Study) under the Environmental Assessment Act to determine the preferred method of improvement to the Jewel Bridge which crosses the Sauble River in Sauble Beach in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

A presentation describing the Jewel Bridge Road Structure Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study is now available for viewing. A copy of the presentation is also available under Documents.
Interested members of the public, indigenous communities, and agencies, are welcome to ask questions of the project team as well as provide comments on the project and the proposed alternative solutions. Questions and comments can also be submitted to the project team via email. Alternatively, an in-person meeting with the Town can be scheduled during the week of July 8, 2024.
The comment period will be open for three weeks. Please submit comments and questions by Friday, July 12, 2024.

The Town is proceeding with a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment study to consider the impacts associated with the proposed improvements. Online public engagement is being offered on the Town's Open Mic Page. Starting Friday, June 21, 2024, interested members of the public, indigenous communities, and agencies have an opportunity to view a presentation describing the study, ask questions of the project team, as well as provide comments on the project and the proposed alternative solutions.
