Berford St. Reconstruction & Streetscaping - "The Big Dig"

The surface work continues, as the contractor is busy transforming what was once a construction site moonscape into something that looks like a downtown road! The underground work is now complete! Now, construction crews refocus to complete the surface work, which will include the traffic signals and streetlights, sidewalks, coloured concrete, and later, the street furniture and planting beds. Happy Spring! The Town has finally received permission to close Highway 6, so work is in full swing preparing for the first road closure commencing April 19th. Please read this week's newsletter for details.

The large Oil-Grit Separator (OGS) to be installed at Division Street has now arrived - the structure is one of the largest in Ontario, arriving on four flatbed tractor-trailers and needing a crane to move around! Plus, Sandra interviews Laura Lisk. Read more in this edition of the newsletter.

It's a race against the clock - the shallow utilities are being installed and the road is being finished in order to progress to the electrical work and construct the large stormwater treatment device.
